Valet Mode

This mode is used to deactivate aiarm permanentiy when you take your vehicie in for servicing for

exampie.

Vaiet switch activates Vaiet Mode or terminates aiarm condition when your remote

control Is not available (iost, batteries dead, etc.).

This switch must be instaiied in a hidden piace known oniy to reguiar users of the

vehicie.

Ask your installer to tell you where it is.

to activate Valet Mode, piace ignition key in ”ON” position then press Vaiet switch (for about 3 seconds)

untii indicator iight comes on at haif-brightness.

to deactivate Valet Mode, piace ignition key in ”ON” position then press Vaiet switch (for about 3

seconds) untii indicator iight goes out.

Notes:

If you perform both sequences one after the other, you need to pause for 3 seconds between the two

sequences.

Vaiet Mode is automaticaiiy deactivated when key is turned to the ”ON” position and/or engine is remote

started for the tenth time. This is to prevent Vaiet Mode from being ieft on for iong periods of time.

GLOSSARY

Siren

Siren has six different sounds, i.e., it chirps repeatediy and has six different meiodies.

It chirps intermittentiy (short repeated chirps) during a pre-aiarm and continuousiy during an aiarm

condition.

It can confirm arm and disarm commands with short chirps; see tabie in CONFIRMATION section.

This function is programmabie as active or inactive during instaiiation.

Horn

Horn beeps intermittentiy (short repeated beeps) during an aiarm condition.

This function is optionai and may require the instaiiation of additionai materiai.

Ask your instaiier for more detaiis.

Parking lights

Parking iights flash intermittentiy (repeated flashes) during a pre-aiarm and aiarm condition.

Parking iights aiso confirm that commands have been received.

Violation

Vioiation means a situation that causes a protection zone to generate an aiarm condition; exampie: a door

was opened, etc.
